In other words, the idea of wanting to describe a lost generation devoid of values wasn't bad at all, but Korine never digs deep, never judges. The film boils down to a 2-hour empty and trivial music video, with moments of unintentional comedy, like the part where Franco plays the Spears piece on the piano. I found it irritating for how pointless it is. It's a film that might appeal to the target audience that it should (would?) be judging.
