Dave was essential for Nirvana, but replacing Kurt... no... impossible, unfair and pointless... a bit like with the Beatles (who nonetheless wrote all the songs), replacing Lennon... for me, the point applies to AIC as well... at least Audioslave had the good taste not to violate the name of RATM...

The compilation is fine...for those who don't know them, it's a godsend...a new album with the name AIC is shameful...among other things, I heard a song that's about 7 minutes long and it doesn’t seem like anything new to me...so they’re really making songs in the style of Alice but without the true spirit of the band: Layne...how sad!

The album is excellent, no doubt about it... but I don't consider it that essential... especially compared to other bands considered "grunge"... Nirvana, Melvins, Mudhoney, Soundgarden above all... if we talk about the '90s, this album pales in comparison to much more important works... (NIN, Sonic Youth, Motorpsycho, Afghan Whigs, Jesus Lizard, FNM, Smashing Pumpkins...)
