Christopher Nolan Interstellar

I think exactly like you. I give it a 3.5; I found the last 15 minutes a bit too clever and maybe driven by the Hollywood machine. In any case, it remains a truly tough blockbuster.

Sbam. Come on, you're going out of the HM.
Jacques Audiard Il Profeta

Decent film, it goes on for too long. 2-3 scenes are really well done.

David Fincher Gone Girl
Voto:
Honestly, it didn't blow me away. You're right, it keeps you glued until the end, that's true. Fincher has been overly verbose lately, and I find the characters poorly developed. I mean, from the very beginning, you know that SPOILER Ben cannot be a murderer, and she, false and cynical, has a dark side. Essentially, the twists are never unexpected. A film that works only in part.
Tony Kaye Detachment - Il Distacco

No, no, in my opinion, it definitely deserves the 4 stars. An exciting film that manages to avoid falling into easy sentimentalism made in Hollywood. Certainly not a masterpiece, but truly a beautiful and intelligent film. Brody is wonderful.

When the fakes of the fakes arrive, I always get a little emotional.
The Smashing Pumpkins Monuments to an Elegy

MC and Siamese are 2 of the albums of my life. Today's Corgan is a ridiculous and unbearable character, at times pitiful for the nonsense he says and does. After that cosmic crap called Zeitgeist, I decided to pretend that the bald guy doesn’t make music anymore. The Pumpkins' discography ends with Machina (which I like).

Really great, I happened to listen to something a few weeks ago. They need to be explored more.

Cute. In my opinion, it loses a lot in the second part, when they go to America; there it takes a turn that feels a bit too much like an American teen movie (the contest, the group falling apart, the embarrassing moment on stage, the similar group dynamics). The first part where they record in Ireland is excellent.
