S4doll: Snyder's has a photography of the Virgin Mary, like all of his films, after all... I don't know, I definitely prefer Romero for his inventiveness, atmospheres, and scripts... then the demonic zombies that run I can only tolerate in 28 Days Later by Boyle... I would give Snyder's a 3...

BERLINOBOY85: Yes, your thought is understandable... but the ending of this film is very significant... Scorsese depicts a paradoxical America where the "good" ultimately becomes worse than the "bad" (even if for the right reasons) and instead of ending up in prison for committing a massacre, is considered a hero... By the way, I saw an interview from "Le Iene" conducted in American military bases in Iraq... the soldiers were totally unaware and ignorant about the situation they were experiencing... they seemed like many Travises... they were there for a reason that they couldn't even explain... when asked what language they speak in Iraq or what they eat, they had no answer... Scorsese has captured humanity through his asocial and troubled character...
