Controcultura is the sixth studio album, preceded by Quorum, a web-album available for free download on his official website, which was a delightful appetizer in anticipation of 7/09.

There are 18 tracks, for 67 minutes of pure Rap. Also, in the Deluxe version, which costs one euro more than the single version, there is a 45-minute DVD where Fabri Fibra shares his story and helps newcomers understand and appreciate his Rap.

Returning to Controcultura, it is an album where Fibra doesn't deny himself; it seems to mix songs suitable for a commercial audience, such as "Vip in trip" "Rivelazione" "Tre parole" and "Le donne" with others suited for the hardcore fan base, those who appreciated him before "Applausi per fibra", for instance.

He does not disappoint his fans with the high presence of rhymes and interesting wordplay like never before, making entirely free use of the names of famous characters, to name a few, Travaglio, Fabio Fazio, Mina up to Marrazzo, Brenda, Noemi Letizia, and Patrizia D'Addario, protagonists of well-known events. Rhymes that are obviously true, uncomfortable, and compelling, like saying that Rappers in Italy can now be counted on one hand.

All the songs are noteworthy, but I'll mention a few in particular:

"+-", which has a particularly interesting chorus;

"Vip in Trip", the famous single that anticipated the CD and which, besides being very catchy, has a couple of interesting rhymes, if not more;

"Insensibile", a duet with Dargen D'Amico that, despite being one of the slowest rhythms of the album, has lyrics that flow smoothly and are catchy, I recommend listening to it;

"Tranne te" and "Non potete capire" are the two, if I may say, dance tracks of the entire album, but even so, or maybe because of this, did not particularly satisfy me;

Conversely, "Tre parole" and "Rivelazione" are two of the songs I might prefer on the album, the first is a sort of remake of the homonymous song, while the second is a sort of "Applausi per Fibra", that is, a self-congratulatory piece but one that I see as a very suitable second or third single, it could be successful.

Of the last four tracks, the one that satisfied me the most is "Le donne", which has a catchy chorus and, again, as in all the songs, features particularly weighty rhymes. But "La fretta", the last track in a duet with Dj Double S, is also not bad at all.

All in all, my opinion of this album is positive. Sure, a couple of tracks could have been omitted, and perhaps more work could have been put into the others, but it’s truly a CD that any fan or fan of Fibra should not miss, I assure you. ;)

In summary, as he sings in Controcultura, I can say that this is Fabri Fibra, the real one, the pure one.

 Here are worth silver $para al diavolo and Qualcuno normale, so the other 17 tracks are absolutely worthless.

 Away from the fake counterculturism...
