You said what I think too. From an entertainment perspective, it’s great (the tank showdown halfway through the movie is fantastic, the shooting scenes with Star Wars-like colors are also peculiar), unfortunately the "sacrifice" infused with patriotism and rhetoric in the last half hour turns the film into the usual American fare. It could have been something more.
