• LUCIA

Lucia is a splendid girl, slender, with milk-colored skin, long black hair, and bright black eyes.

"This music is beautiful. Green and blue music," she tells me with a lost look, who knows in what thoughts.

"Sure, but Lucia, how did you come up with this idea?"

"Maybe because I'm a tad drunk," she answers me innocently.

Very interesting.

"Don't get any strange ideas, we've been friends for many years..."

"Lucia, if you were truly my friend, you would have had a bit of mercy, you would have lain down on the bed, and I would have spread the strawberry and lemon flavored ice cream, that I have in the freezer, on your nice white little body."

Strange concept friendship, very overrated.

  • THE GREEN AND BLUE MUSIC

"The Empire Line" is a fresh oil painting, it conveys tranquility, peace.

A tranquil pond, a boat, two gentlemen intent on fishing. They would seem to be Brian Eno and Harold Budd.

The atmosphere is as if suspended, slow minimal piano notes. The waters of the pond are moved by gentle electronic waves.

Piano notes, simple guitar chords, naturalistic drones.

From the shore, sweet female chants create a folk electro ambient neoclassical drowsiness. Made unreal by disturbances created by a figure in the distance. It seems to me I see a Fennesz throwing glitchy flat stones, which lightly glide on the fresh waters.

But this is not the crux of the matter.

  • THE LEMON AND STRAWBERRY FLAVORED ICE CREAM IN THE FREEZER

Lucia later ate my lemon and strawberry flavored ice cream with Alberto, her best gay friend.

  • PERSONAL CONSIDERATIONS

Lucia, you are splendid, but I would have preferred you less of a friend and more of a wench.

Never mix friendship, a girl, a gay guy, and strawberry and lemon flavored ice cream.

The record is splendid.
