No gentlemen, I’m really sorry but this isn’t right. The mass media mythologize any character who disappears; just think of MJ, who went from being a pedophile to a saint overnight. The mass media create trends and fashions. When the mass media laud something, it’s because brainwashing is the only way to make us appreciate it. However, it’s nice to see that every so often there’s some exception. The case of Heath Ledger is one of those pleasant exceptions. I remember going to see it after reading everything about his death; it had been discussed on the news. I was ready, completely prepared, to watch a shitty movie starring just another actor who unfortunately died at the end of filming.

When the lights went down in the theater and the film started rolling, I didn’t see a movie. I saw the Joker. And that’s it. Heath’s performance overshadows Oldman’s (my favorite actor) and Bale’s (not that it takes much), it overshadows Nolan’s direction, it overshadows the special effects. The film IS the Joker. Comments like: “Yeah, good, but they made too much of it” are really out of place. Ledger’s Joker pulverizes Nicholson’s Joker, and excuse me if that’s not small potatoes.

I would like to point out to those who complain about "Maglio" that there are other and more serious mistakes, such as UN'ascolto with the apostrophe. If you want to be pedantic, then do it thoroughly. Because maglio can be a typing error. The other one cannot. I enjoy it when you get all precise in a place where someone is reviewing Schifano, passing him off as an artist. (Yes, my dear pedant, I know I made a mistake up there with the apostrophe, yes, I did it on purpose, and yes, you are an idiot).

@panico: opanico in the drug spots means that not even drugs are sold in places where usually they throw drugs at you; "Panico," in short, is the lack of substance (look at panico at Needle Park to get an idea and avoid feeling called into question randomly :D) you were indecisive between 1 and 5... a bit confused, I'd say. Then you'll explain to me why Lemmy should kick my ass.
