Anyway, when writing on a review site, it is assumed that the writer is reviewing the work (you know, reviewers are presumptuous and think that what they write is the truth). If you are interested in expressing your opinions, you can do so in the comments or in elementary school terms; those who read reviews usually do so to understand what something is like, not how it could be. To you, Poe is a sticky little bore? Fine, but that doesn’t justify you talking about him like he’s a poor soul who isn’t worth reading past the age of 15. Because until proven otherwise, he is Poe and you are a kid writing on an internet site under a pseudonym, who, by the way, isn’t capable of sustaining a discussion without resorting to insults.

Feel free to use all the irony you want, but the underlying concept of this phrase is that for you, Poe can perfectly well be skipped (if not, choose your sentences better when you write; after all, while there are those who can't read, there are also those who can't write).
