I am an absolute novice when it comes to shoegaze (I’m not even sure how it's said). However, I didn't dislike the three things I’ve heard. Could you provide me with a quick micro-list of this genre?

Hell, I listened to during my adolescence from Marduk to Mayhem, from Cof to Carpathian Forest. Black is not music, black is a mental attitude, pure cacophony with zero melody (if it weren't, it wouldn't be black, after all); black is discomfort, black is supreme anger, black is a lot of things, but surely, if you learn to listen to other things as well, you'll realize it's not good music.
This obviously doesn't mean it's shit music; on the contrary, even now I still listen to some of the Cof (yes, I know they're not pure black, too many keyboards, too commercial, just too much melody...) and I enjoy it. But the albums rated 5? Well, those are something else. Albums rated 5 are important for the history of music. If all black metal bands were to die tomorrow morning, practically nobody would notice.
@franci: let me understand, do you keep reiterating this brat stuff just to provoke or do you really believe it? Anyway, thanks for the genius.

"Sorry, a review is not an objective opinion, an opinion I think is subjective by definition, or am I wrong?" Absolutely not, you're right, the review is inherently subjective, that's why it's pointless for you to keep repeating for me, my opinion, etc... it's superfluous, but if you like to do it that way, you're free to do so, for goodness' sake my comments were just highly debatable advice. Bye, see you next time.

"If I may offer you some advice: 'Frankly, it’s difficult to review song by song' and above all, it’s something that is disgusting to read, so keep reviewing an album as a whole and not track by track. (It’s a pity you included the track by track anyway)//// 'Who among you can resist their notes? So dreamy, so… perfect.' This, on the other hand, is a phrase that can't be read: it’s laughable… avoid explicitly seeking approval from your readers./// Stop quoting yourself and the interlocutor: 'Yes, because this FOR ME is pure Black Metal'; 'I THINK that the true meaning of black music is precisely this.'; 'the adjectives would run out and I WOULD find myself making one of those really unpleasant figures, so I 'limit' myself to trying to convey in context (using only a few songs as examples) what I WANT to transmit TO YOU, and what the Summoning have transmitted to ME.' It’s quite annoying and feels like something from middle school (no offense).//// Avoid glorifying the album as if it were the best thing ever recorded: 'Kor....... Just let it start... and it’s already all clear... It only takes those few seconds, that brief opening that paves the way for the greatest gem of this Dol Guldur… You just have to close your eyes here… Silenius and Protector will take you up into the sky to dance with the ethereal figures of Olympus (or Middle-earth, if you prefer)... a little break at the second minute allows the song to restart like a sort of bomb. And so too at the ninth minute. In short, the last 50 seconds are truly pure thrills.' It’s the best way to convince your reader not to listen to what you’re proposing, because you seem not objective and too enraptured by your emotions. In conclusion, I didn't like the review, but I believe you can knock it out of the park with the next one. Bye, beautiful. PS: There's no black metal album that can afford to get a 5 as a rating… but that’s another story."

My sources come from the fact that I know the comic. Anyway, here: Little Nemo - uBC "Enciclopedia online del fumetto" And here: Little Nemo - Wikipedia I found two reliable, if not authoritative, websites for you and anyone who wants to check, confirming what was stated earlier.
