I don't know, the first one was also under Rockstar... the second one was still disappointing, they tell me.

I believe the Melvins couldn't care less about metal just as metal couldn't care less about the Melvins. That's it.

"They do it of their own will = they are whores" is true, and so what? They know it, we know it, the clients know it, the state knows it, finally Den has figured it out too. "The state sells drugs legally = it’s a shitty state. Bye." Here, it’s not sold legally, and the state can't do a damn thing against the crime that sells drugs. I’d say our state is shitty too, and, since you seem a bit slow, let me inform you that drugs are sold all over the world, and all around the world, it’s organized crime that benefits from it, not in Holland. What a shitty state!

Of course, I’m going to see this crazy shit, if only to please the little boy who (barely) sleeps inside me. I would also add that with a cast like this (8 muscular guys and a yellow face), the film might also show some latent homosexuality, like almost all action movies from the '90s, from Commando to Magnum Force, including Rambo II and Rocky III.

I keep thanking those who visit this page, @psychopatha: yes, this is definitely personal. On the other hand, I’m against buying a CD without listening first: first steal, then listen, and if it’s worth it, buy it (after being burned by Fu Manchu with "we must obey," I’m never falling for the guaranteed purchase again). @psychopompe: now you know when to listen to it: during September sunsets, from a terrace overlooking the sea, enjoying a beer while some nice girl massages your feet, perhaps... but if in September you find yourself on a terrace with a sea view while a stunning girl is massaging your feet, maybe, just maybe, the desire to listen to the album won’t come to you... well, put it on a CD and then think about it.

@mario cassini/ aka skletron/ aka migliore/ aka giustiziere aka a bunch of other things: Of course a genre is born from something, but as you pointed out, for example, black metal emerges from Slayer & co., but Slayer didn’t make black metal, they made thrash. Black metal is not “let’s sound like Slayer and get worshipped like them too.” Black definitely has characteristics derived from Slayer, but it is a genre on its own that has been personalized by the bands within this musical movement. Opeth creates a mix of death and prog that made them a very unique death band. Copying them doesn’t mean starting from them to create a genre; it just means copying them, plain and simple.

good review but I find them totally useless: as you said, they are sometimes compared to Opeth,... well, if I want death/prog, I'll go to them (Opeth). I believe, but it's just my personal opinion, that there are "musical genres" that are not really genres (death prog in this case, which exists only as a "copying" of Opeth), and that when faced with works that want to transform the extremely unique and characteristic sound of a band into a new trend, it becomes cheesy. Just look at the terrible NU metal movement that started from the first excellent records of Korn.
