King Diamond Abigail II: The Revenge

Abigail 2??? After unforgiven 2 by Metallica, even the king of diamonds is giving it a shot?
Sad title, anyway I've never been able to stand KD's voice, am I the only one?

Oh my God, fix that cover, it's all messed up! "And who cares, you annoying prick," you might rightly respond... but it's really cute, so why keep one that's all ruined? Ingrandisci questa immagine

kemosabe: not for me either for now, probably in 15 years they will have bored me like 2 watermelons and they will end up together with the pizza boxes and old chairs in the fireplace. However, I will save the hex book, that’s cool and that's it.
Ps: I didn’t vote for the album earlier, I'll fix that right away.

"The Ministers have grown, they haven't betrayed, as some say" I keep saying it: 2007 2010 Maybe not sold out... but before I kind of liked them, now they're making some fucking pop.

You’ve said pretty much everything I think as well: the Earth have been lacking ideas for ages, they've found their path with post... post... post drone? Post countryfolk? Post whatthefuck?
In short, since ibernaculum/hex, the album has pretty much been the same, with some minor innovation or regression: the addition of the cello that plays long, ethereal notes (either you've heard the album or you won't understand a damn thing of what I'm writing, actually, maybe even if you have heard it you won't understand a damn thing, whatever) seems like an attempt to return to drones from a different perspective. We said, the album is always the same; Carlson now finds his "inspiration" only in the vocabulary; he has become a craftsman of his art much like Mario Bava: many films where you ended up seeing the same thing over and over: zero plot and loads, loads of atmosphere. Few ideas, if any, but the incredible ability to recreate sensations. Yes, I think the comparison holds. Earth like Mario Bava. I adore Mario Bava and I would like the next photocopy of Earth to come out tomorrow morning because, between us, I don’t give a damn how repetitive they are. Earth is one of my favorite sounds, and I want more, always the same as themselves. Always post drone, always post whatever, always Earth. Oh, I want more, don't you? I get you, but I don't agree.

Poor Mike. I believe that if Night hadn't directed The Sixth Sense, his films would all be highly appreciated (I haven't actually seen the latest one, so let’s leave that out of the discussion). The problem is that his first film was indeed The Sixth Sense, and since then the director has lived under the shadow of that film; with every release, people expect something similar, and poor Michael, to satisfy the audience, writhes in improbable contortions to try to give each of his films suspense that might not always be necessary, or a surprise ending that often disappoints those who demand a new Sixth Sense. Poor Mike, a great director, perhaps his most "important" film is a superhero movie, without superheroes for three-quarters of the film (I mean, the superhero is there for the whole film, but he only discovers that he is one, along with us, at the end of the movie). A wonderful homage to the comic book world. I have a friend who is a comic book artist (or rather, he hopes to become one; for now, he’s just attending comic school) and it’s one of his favorite films: every time it comes up in conversation, his eyes light up and he starts drooling. Such a great Mike, damn it! An exceptional director! But I like The Sixth Sense, and for me, this one remains a crappy movie :)

If there's space rock, if there's Japan, if there are the '70s, if there's psychedelia... but for what fucking reason am I just finding out about it now? Thanks for the tip, ajm.
