In its early days, the genre was truly a breath of fresh air. It’s a pity it lasted so little, and today post-black metal is clogged with copycat albums nine times out of ten sung poorly. Neige had a great idea, but once put into practice (both by him and the army of his imitators/clones) it showed its weaknesses in less than ten years.
