I wasn't talking about them. Did they release something just a year ago? Wow, I already miss them. And the cores? You like them... and I guess you do like them. But have they done anything else?

Well, the list is long. For example, do the Liquid Sound Company still exist or did they pass away after the second album? Did Black Mountain also stop at the second? The project Lamp of the Universe has been inactive since 2001 Has La Fin Du Monde ever released a complete album? The Core? Goodness, I only know this album from Core; can anyone tell me if there’s anything else out there

Teen, what you’re saying now ("I don’t like the movie") and "Oh come on!!... if these are the masterpieces... 2.5 at most" are two very different things: the first is a subjective evaluation, the second pretends to be an objective one. You say you don’t want to present yourself as someone who knows everything about cinema, but from various comments it actually comes across that you’re convinced you have the truth in your hands (like for example the comment about the Carpenter film). You’re completely free to do so (a lot of people do it here, often I do as well), but you can’t then start whining if someone throws reality back at you. I think it’s just a communication issue.

"which can be its strength or its weakness, de gustibus" is not its strength or its weakness: the film is all there, in the scene where the customers of the titty twister turn into vampires. From here, the film is either complete nonsense or it's breathtaking (or whatever you want). I read the review seven months ago and honestly, I didn't remember, so yes, you also make a mistake (quite common when discussing this film; I never said that Teen said nonsense, I said they were wrong to analyze the two parts separately... a mistake, not nonsense). Moreover, taken alone, the two parts wouldn't mean a damn thing. The first part taken on its own would also be nonsense.

I consider the mammatus to be quite different from all the groups mentioned above: norssken and its offspring are definitely less toxic and heavy. They create a stoner sound that I find to be not very doped up. With the mammatus, I first feel the acids and the weed, then I realize it's music. The fact is, they could pull out a new album. I've never heard of otracina, so I’ll go check if I like them.

See, teen, you really shouldn't approach the discussion as "first part second part." It’s A film. Anyway, I think you don’t quite understand what I meant with the comment above; let me be more explicit: take a look at what I wrote up there, it’s all stuff that you should like./// "I might also be an expert like you, Bartol, or others in 7 or 10 years." I'm not an expert, but I'm also not someone who comments on the first Halloween like this: "Come on!!... if these are the masterpieces... 2.5 at most." You're right about one thing— you didn't say that the second part is a "piece of crap"; you said it’s a "load of crap." Replace in my previous comment this phrase "you can't say this part sucks" with "you can't say that this part is a load of crap," and the gist of the discussion remains unchanged: look at that stuff, it will do you good. No one is asking you to justify the scores; it’s the arguments that, when present, are a bit weak. (I’ll attempt to repeat that, as snooty as these comments may come across, their sole purpose is to get you closer to the cinema to love.)

"I had listened to Pelandrone's solo EP. I remember it being very beautiful... you remember correctly, but it’s an EP: maybe he’s working on a whole solo album and that’s why Witchcraft isn’t releasing anything. But it’s just a guess, or rather, a futile hope."

And speaking of the dead man, did they do anything after euphria?

"But they haven't published a damn thing?!?" Hell no. In norssken, the drummer who later founded dead man used to play. In short, from there came witchcraft, graveyard, and dead man. Witchcraft, graveyard, and dead man... who gives a shit.

"the second part is a gigantic load of bullshit" "the vampire part was fun even though it might have been a bit cheesy, but the first part especially had me in stitches." But this movie without the vampire part would have been a completely different film; you can’t say this part sucks but the first one is beautiful, so I’ll give it a 5 (I mean, you can definitely do that, but it doesn’t make any sense). The first part is functional to the second and vice versa. Teen, in my opinion, you’re behind by a thousand films in the cinematic culture you think you have. And it’s awesome; you can thoroughly enjoy all of Meyer, all of Corman, all of Peckinpah, the films from Asylum (:D), Bava, Refn, Chan Park-wook, and a ton of other stuff. The comment is inevitably pretentious, forgive me, but just take a look at this stuff; I say you won’t regret it.
