It's the album that established them as a mainstream band, perhaps slightly below the first two, but still a more than enjoyable little record. From the one after this, they've plunged into the abyss of self-referentiality and self-celebration, where I fear the Arcade Fire will soon find themselves as well.

I haven't heard this, I vote based on the trust and sympathy I have for the group. The comparison with Opeth is out of place (at least with the early works, which are the ones I've listened to), but this definition is spot on instead (always in reference to the works I've listened to): "musical solutions that haven't been heard with this effectiveness in a long time."
