"Take the worst album by Dark Tranquillity, add a couple of instruments from the North European tradition and a mediocre, fawning female voice: you will have Eluveitie, 'ok, thanks for the clarity.'"

After three weeks, I finally managed to get my hands on Solinari (thanks to the tram file). After listening to that, I'll see about getting this one as well.

"Moreover, an artist who can be said to be practically unknown. A practice not so common here on DeBaser." In short... Anyway: Lateralus is... well, Lateralus is Lateralus and that’s that; the rest of Tool is... well, Tool made Lateralus, so what the hell should I do with the rest? But White Pony is the album with which I abandoned the Deftones. Now, since the whole world is here saying it’s a great album, maybe I should give it another chance, but I remember all too well that sense of being jerked around that album gave me: the same feeling I got from Mechanical Animals by MM and Issues by Korn. Cool cover.

I'm listening to higher & higher now, many years ago I would have liked it quite a bit. Today no, today it all seems too old to me, and it would be even if it had come out in 2003. That said: well done Cornell, I liked you!

You’ve managed to bore me talking about Tarantino. You have talent, that’s undeniable.

I read the first 5 issues, and for what I've read (and remember), I agree with jdv: violence is the ultimate goal of this comic, and it's the main axis around which the reader's attention revolves. Violence teetering on the edge of pornography, in short, but the idea of cultivating flowers inside brains was nice. That's it, the end of the interesting ideas I found. I also remember a blatant rip-off (lightyears away from being a tribute) of Sin City, tremendously more vulgar and pointless (if that's even possible). Nonetheless, it's impossible not to recognize that it was drawn by a god. Although I don't share the opinion, I enjoyed the review.
