Oh, what I had to say about them I've already said in another one of your reviews about them (your review about them... I want a doll, thank you). What I think of you too.

look at the ratings: anything from 3 downwards doesn't add up. hotel supramonte alone is worth entire discographies. like that of de gregori (which I quite like, you know...) to avoid being asked, "oh thanks a lot, whose discographies? Lady Gaga's???" Would this be a just passable album? Either you haven't listened to it or you're an idiot (Idiot, oh my: I'm the idiot and I understand the scope of the album, if you don't get it, it means the situation is pretty serious...).
Ministry Relapse

"Finally," that was my first thought when I heard that Ministry would be back with this album, "Relapse." Mine too. But despite your praise as if it were a miracle, I'm afraid it might sound a bit like crap... Not because I didn't like their last work: on the contrary, I'm one of those who enjoys turning the fans of America's most cybernetic heroin addict upside down, because I think Rio Grande Blood is even better than Psalm 69—maybe not better than The Land of Rape and Honey, but that’s pretty normal. Still, it's definitely an album that always hits me good; but this Relapse has a cover that is really, way too unwatchable... I would like to end the comment with a sentence with more commas than the previous one, but, honestly, despite trying, I have no idea how to do it. There, I put a period, damn it.

Half of the people who voted for the album know it like I know the latest Lady Gaga, or this site has at least double the idiots that I had counted. No offense, eh...

"Denouncing the excessive commercial commodification of De André, which some claim occurred in this album," is the first time I've heard this theory and I don't see why it should be given even the slightest weight. As for the rest: we don't talk about De André, we listen to him.

A metalhead with dreadlocks always wins. From the coolest sleep to a semi-innocent band... Do me a favor: give me a rating for The Art of Self Defense, a rating for the next one, a rating for this one you reviewed, and then I’ll see if it’s worth it for me to start blackmailing with a gun to the head those who make the orders from Mediaworld, or if I can, as usual, pass the proposal of the ex-cool guy.

I'm really sorry, but A) this album is EASY, and easy in the best sense of the word. B) a track by track review of a stoner album is just not feasible. C) I believe this album is sludge, right for someone writing Wikipedia. D) it’s not this album that’s influenced by Sabbath; the whole genre is. That said: it could have been worse. Sure, it could have also been much better. A piece of advice: avoid reviewing stuff that’s already been reviewed until you understand the "mood" of the site. About the album: I can’t give it a 5; if I give this a 5, I have to give 6 to "my fanatics" and 8 to "chrononaut" and "supercoven." The last EP released, on the other hand, doesn’t convince me at all, less pointless than that pseudo drone from "the processean," sure, and actually the title track would be a nice trip if it didn’t last 6 minutes and was half an EP. The other song "murder & madness" in its 5-minute duration never stops stinking of filler

Never understood (at the time as now) why to put on an In Flames CD when Dark Tranquillity exists. This remains, however, their work that I appreciated the most. As for the growls, Fridén: Stanne gives him a hard time. You could have avoided mentioning Opeth: you mislead all the newcomers like that.

This album is progressive METAL (of now; I didn't even feel the '70s brushing against me). If it had been a prog rock album (from what I had read around, it was supposed to be a psych/folk revival), it would have definitely been more interesting. I can't really evaluate it: they said they were doing one thing and ended up doing another (definitely more trivial). Maybe for prog metal fans this is a great record; I don’t doubt that, but it still sucked for me. I mean, who the hell made them do it? It's true that they never really excited me, but in their genre (shifted in this album without any sensible reason behind it, perhaps aside from the band's boredom in playing a genre they might not have felt anymore), they were certainly among the most valid. If someone only hears this work, the first thing that comes to mind is, "Another cold, ultra-technical band??? Sure, they're good, but where's the passion typical of rock or metal?" Well, I had never heard a flat Opeth album before. There’s always a first time.
