I only like Corgan's version of The Number of the Beat made with Zwan (wasn't it Corgan who sang on it, right?). For the rest, I find his voice unbearable.

Once, I used to spend Saturday afternoons with my metalhead friends, wandering through all the CD shops in Milan. Today, if I spend two afternoons a year looking for CDs, that’s quite a lot. Nice page and interesting proposal.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Apollo et Hyacinthus

Sorry Lao Tzu, but couldn't you point out that in this review music is talked about "seriously" just as it's done in 99% of reviews on Deb? Images, the story of the concept, and 4 notes about the artist, a couple of lines mentioning which instruments are played (woodwinds and horns, by the way... 2 oboes, 2 horns, and all the woodwinds are done) and the style of singing... take out "bordoni" and swap it for "droni," take out "gorgheggi del soprano" and put in "growl"; remove the accompanying strings and replace them with the accompanying bass, etc., and you have a review of avant-metal. In short, rather than talking about "music seriously," here we're discussing "classical music." It's not quite the same thing. I also accept that classical music is serious music and that all other genres aren't. I don't accept that this is a serious and competent review. Then as an "opera fake," it's superb, no doubt about it.
In short, Lao Tzu, why do you get entangled with Hellenism, Stalin, Nietzsche, Aeschines? There's really no need to seek help to say that this is a metal review of a classical opera.
Andrea Pazienza Gli ultimi giorni di Pompeo

Come on... I don’t appreciate those who complain about duplicates, but up until now there had only been one review of "Pompeo"... By the way, the review by punischer said everything there was to say perfectly. I understand the passion, but you could have really reviewed something else. You save yourself by alluding to Paz's language, essential as much as the design; in fact, Paz's design is language and functional to the language. A great communicator, Paz. Great everything.
Sonata Arctica Silence
Voto:
I've always placed Sonata Arctica among those "new bands that are largely the same as each other" which have turned power metal into a caricature of metal. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, power metal was already a caricature before Sonata Arctica formed. can you believe that? I’m convinced that self-irony in power metal is if not everything, then certainly almost everything; without it, the genre risks dangerously descending into the pathetic. And the Finns, starting with Stratovarius... brrr! Timo Tolkki is largely responsible for the free fall of the genre. Then when I had pimples and skipped school, this genre drove me crazy; I spent my days between Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray, for a snack I had bread and Helloween, and for dinner a nice plate of Edguy... But that’s another story.

If you don't like Jesus or you've listened to the wrong records (which are more than the good ones, so it's not that unlikely) or you're just people who smile too much

Yes, I know that there’s neither the sheriff nor the strings, nor even the deep space... But... Anyway... Who cares: it’s Megaforce!!! 5 stars for making me remember it.

I don't think it's my thing, but the intro of the review made me want to rewatch Megaforce.
