If you don't stone me, I'll say that the previous "We Rose From Your Bed, etc. etc." was better... Great review.
Franco Battiato Fetus

Battiato is unbearable. Whether he is REALLY good is secondary. Listening: you had the chance to talk about organs, urethral lights, flesh, metal, silicon, blood, and sperm, and you start writing a review??? That’s not right. Four and not five for the album because Battiato, I repeat, is unbearable. Listening to his voice for more than 3 minutes is nearly impossible for me.

Did you give it 5 balls??? Good job! I adore this record, by the way I was convinced I had already passed by here to say well done and thank you. Obviously, I hadn't done it. I'm doing it now: Well done and Thank you! I ask you too: what's the title of the other album by Mr. Bongiorni?

Yes, 3.5. But seriously, has it actually been released in Italy? Whatever, it's the distributors' problem: I don't think I'll be spending any money on it.

"Decide to grow your hair out, buys black jeans and a second-hand leather jacket, sketches various logos of crappy bands on your desk, and flips through 'Metal Shock' during the time dedicated to 'The Betrothed.' Those were some great times." No, it wasn’t exactly a shit period: friends who listened to terrible punk (there's also cool punk, but when you're 16, it seems like there's a biological law that forces you to listen to crap music) always ended up with all the alternative girls; the sancarlini (or pariolini, or posers, or whatever you want to call them) ended up with the hot girls; the zarri (a species that has been gradually disappearing—at least in Milan—and has been replaced by the more modern Truzzi Gabber and other similar trends) scored with the girls who put out on the first date... The metalheads were left with the scraps: the "flat-chested" and the "ugly" (which, honestly, metalheads are so unlucky that they should light a candle to the Virgin if they manage to hit the target, but at 16, everyone is convinced they are super cool, so there’s a bit of nose-in-the-air and difficult tastes). If you add that you probably listened to power metal, walked around in shirts with dragons and swords, the only thing left at your disposal was your right hand. My 16 years were all about: Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray, Cradle of Filth and wanking. Lots of wanking, a Guinness World Record-worthy amount if it weren't for the fact that the world is full of metalheads. The metal album of the 90s is this: no ifs or buts. And who cares if I discovered it ten years late and if at sixteen I was putting Dimmu Borgir and Virgin Steel in my Walkman. Then there's 'True Believer' and the second song by The Gathering (I can't remember the title), which are obviously awesome tracks. In fact: awesome! I haven’t heard this one and I won't, but I was glad to read about it.

The former "take that" annoys me so much that I actually find him overly likable. He starred in beautiful music videos (music-video-wise), he used to strut like Keith Richards when he still had veins, and he’s done a ton of other things that could get him into my mnemonic folder "People Who Don't Really Fit With Music But In The End Are Also Fine Surrounded By Fame And Success" (a bit like Marilyn Manson or Mourinho... Maybe that’s excessive, oh well...). The fact remains that seeing him reviewed on Debaser... Brrrr! Anyway, all in all, I thought it would be worse. Francesco Puré, you've been quite good indeed. But do yourself a favor: stop listening to crap music.
