There is Lars Von Trier, and then there is Gaspar Noé. And then there is the audience for one and the audience for the other.

great suggestion! From reading the comments and reviews, it seems to me that it's one of those painfully repetitive groups with little creativity. You listen to one album and you've heard them all. And your favorite will always be the first one you heard. They have all the ingredients to make me fall in love, so I'm going to quickly check out a random album. Their best, for sure.

I listened to it only once, and I still haven't felt like putting it back on again.

Oh, I’ll come clean: I’ve only heard them once (I swear) and I have a good memory of it. I’ve never listened to them again because I’m afraid I might actually like them and you’ll all end up throwing spitballs and slapping me. But when I heard them, I liked them. Between that and the indiepop-electronic vibe that finally, after more than ten years, was finding its place in a light atmosphere, far from the pretensions of the culture snobs filled with people who dress and look at you like they’re in an MTV ad from the late '90s. But I trust you all, and you’ll probably be right.

"a Valhalla Rising that didn’t make it" ... it scares me a bit: is it a double whammy to the balls that remains self-serving? I love Valhalla Rising, but everyone I’ve suggested it to now hates me.
