In 2014, the only thing worth remembering about AIDS is that the antiretroviral drugs that enable a “normal” life (in many quotation marks) are free worldwide, except for the entire African continent, the only continent where AIDS is endemic. I really don’t give a damn about the rest; those are just discussions full of good sentiments presented to keep attention away from the real issue: in Africa, a genocide is being carried out by pharmaceutical companies. Do you want to show me a film about HIV? Perfect: set it in Burundi with Black protagonists who speak Kirundi. Talk to me about the fact that if you want to have sex in Africa, there are only condoms for women because for men it's an insult to have to walk into a pharmacy to get laid. Tell me that the information in that territory is practically zero, with people dying without even knowing what AIDS is or how it’s contracted. Discuss the realities surrounding the phenomenon of HIV and stop telling me stories about pseudo-heroes who live with the disease. Information and entertainment are different things, and today, regarding AIDS, there are only entertainment films disguised as films for sensitive people interested in the issue. And that is quite disgusting. To me, these films are like those segments from "Striscia la Notizia" about dog shelters: they show the pain, they show the suffering, but they do not show the problem that causes it.
Negramaro Meraviglioso

If you're on Debaser, you could have avoided talking about Negramaro, which is obvious as hell. You could have kept the review more or less the same, gathered your courage, and talked about this piece: Because I repeat: to say on Debaser that Negramaro sucks is a bit like complaining about Southern Italy in the midst of a herd of Lega supporters. Seriously: do you like to win easy? Pom-Ci Pom-Ci Po-Po-Pom...

didn't blow me away. everything is in order for a space album, but I found the sounds a bit flat for 2014 and the voice quite unattractive.

Chris Marker Level Five

I’ve only read the beginning: I only know the jeteé, I’ll catch up on the rest later. Then a sprint since I’ve seen this level five, I’ll go over it again (probably in 2040, but oh well). Five for the signal, anything about markers that isn’t the army of twelve monkeys version “Once upon a time, cinema was also experimentation.”

Good job, and, as Cicciolina used to say: welcome. Work on the synthesis (assuming you care about it; otherwise: do whatever the hell you want, debaser is fun for that).

But I'm an idiot: the record I like a lot is hello darkness (the EP from the following year...) this is the famous work that, if I still have it in mp3, has been sitting unused for years, taking up unnecessary megabytes...

I don't care much about the author or the subject matter. However, I remember Crowley too

I don't know, I thought it was a blast, I have it on vinyl. I got the previous one in mp3 after I got this one. I think I tossed it, if I still have it, it's just taking up megabytes for nothing. It's probably a matter of taste: as you somewhat say too, it seems to me that the two works have nothing to do with each other.
