Hello fang.
Clint Eastwood American Sniper

"One perspective defines the film as pro-war and considers it, in my opinion, minimizing, the classic 'Americanism.' Others, however, see this film as a masterpiece and call it an anti-war film." Neither one nor the other. It’s a film that raises questions and says nothing. It’s a film that makes you reflect on what war is. It’s an anti-militaristic film, pro-USA, dedicated solely and exclusively to Americans who are well aware of Kyle’s story. I’ve said it elsewhere: it’s a film aimed strictly at those stupid pro-war Americans who are so broad-minded that they can interpret the subtle question posed at the end. On a nice page, created by a talented person, I read this: "American Sniper is a film capable of waiting hours before hitting the target." It’s the best review you could give it, and it’s just two lines (I repeat: the guy is GOOD). For the rest, I’ll reiterate: it’s a film made for those stupid Americans who, however, are intelligent; in short, it’s a film made for no one, an artistic masturbation by Clint. Yet he knows perfectly well how to use the cinematic medium, and what he produces is a very enjoyable film for anyone. However, the message it sends is meant for far too few people.

I'm listening to "Le doryphore de Kafka" and it seems to me like a truly failed experiment.

"Wow, Debaser has removed the editors, how cool! Now I can review my underwear, my grandfather's 1964 lawnmower, the candy wrappers, send seven duplicates one after the other..."
And then comes Memento to explain to you how incompetent you are with a non-review.
I don't give a damn about Trey. Of Morbid, I only know the first one, which I like, but that's enough for me.
But five stars, because there’s a lot to learn here. Starting with how to leverage Deb.

Indeed, between this and Black Earth, it's quite a contest; the rest of their discography pales in comparison.
Martin Scorsese The Wolf of Wall Street

Seen, finally. It lasts too long, way too seriously. At the end of the film, there's little left: tons of hot girls and mountains of barella. It’s great like rise and fall, but I keep wondering why make another rise and fall when the comparison with Scarface comes so effortlessly, and when it's pointless to even hope to compete with Scarface. If we were on a soccer field, it would be like someone desperately trying to become the best free-kick taker of the moment with Pirlo still on the field. I mean: why bother? Just the pleasure of taking a free kick.
Other than that, it’s a hugely entertaining film, beautifully shot and even better acted. Perhaps the best Scorsese since The Age of Innocence. But it really is unnecessarily long. It really is pointless to discuss Scorsese, and yet it’s now clear that all he can still do is excellent craftsmanship. And that’s enough. Which isn't a small thing, let’s not misunderstand.

But in the '70s weren't people dancing to Gloria Gaynor and James Brown? It's fine to be hardcore truemetallers wearing leather jackets even in August, but it's impossible not to find those genres enjoyable (not necessarily beautiful or essential, but to use the movement to highlight the lack of material to compare with second-rate jazz...).
I like how you write, less how you carry yourself. It takes style even there.
By the way, excuse me: funk, R&B, Soul... aren't they all derivatives of jazz? I'm asking because, honestly, I really don't know much, but from what little I do know, that's what this reminds me of.

good page but I believe that every Björk album could be thoroughly reviewed like this: "The new Björk album is out and as always it’s an album to listen to because words in some cases are not enough." One point less for the review because it's really terrible not to mention Haxan Cloak: that Björk has also fallen for the idiotic allure of drone would have been nice to highlight.

I don't read what I haven't seen, but I trust you. I haven't seen Mommy yet and I remember you wrote something about it giving it a good grade. I repeat: I don't read what I haven't seen yet, I only know the numerical values you give to this and to Mommy.
Alright, I'm continuing to write the same thing... let's cut to the chase: which is better, this or Mommy? Which one should I go for on Wednesday?

Seen only once upon its release. I remember little. I remember that it had convinced me despite being talked about as a poorly made film and despite me being a fan of mereghetti. In short: here, I hadn't yet lost my mind.
