I must admit that I liked it a lot and I almost think I still like it if it comes back to me. So now I’m trying out Shed Seven and I’m really enjoying this Dolphin. That said, who cares; who was this genius? Resurrect him or tell me under what other pseudonyms he wrote, please.

Out of curiosity, Herviet: what do you serve on the site for? Just to clear things up, if you have some usefulness, I was wrong; if not, your mother trolled us all by giving birth to you. You don't have to get angry; it's just the facts.

I don't like to hear about "unpretentious action." If an action film doesn't have the ambition to inject you with a syringe full of adrenaline up your rear end, it has no reason to exist. The thing that scares me the most, however, is that behind that "unpretentious" could lurk a "without intellectual pretensions," which would be rather redundant. Obvious. Thanks, Graziella... and in any case, if this were the case, it should also be noted that for every 100 films with intellectual ambitions, there are 99 that merely tell the same old story to boiling goldfish. So, I don't know, if you're lacking intellectual pretensions while engaging in the most popular art form of the last five thousand years, there’s a good chance you'll avoid making a fool of yourself. You have to give up, after all, what would you expect from an "enchanted city" remade by Lynch or an "American Beauty" remade by Kim Ki-duk? How? A crap like Spike Lee's "Old Boy"? Eh... In the end, I think I've found the solution to the puzzle... I believe the biggest achievement of Godzilla in America was "Cloverfield." And a couple of shots from Edwards' film. Which, well, unfortunately, two shots do not make a movie.

Just to know, of those who complain about today's Italian cinema and mention Sorrentino, how many have seen "Il Primo Re"?

I'm listening. I still have the most confused ideas about the question "what is grunge and what isn't." I'll never understand it.

When I was still a convinced cinephile, I bought, bursting with curiosity, the "high" cinematic phenomenon of the previous year on DVD: "All About My Mother." It wasn't a terrible viewing. The film was good, but light-years away from the blockbuster everyone was talking about. It was the moment I stopped saying I was a cinephile. To shout "masterpiece, mother of God, give me more, for this is a genius of cinema," you don’t have to be entirely cinema-ignorant (well, a bit, but that's not the problem): you just have to be plain ignorant to need this kind of cinema. And to think little from Monday to Saturday.

Everything is beautiful, but why does no one ever talk about Sironi?
