Genesis Selling England By The Pound

"Yes, I know, yet another review of 'Selling England By The Pound,' but this time I believe I have a reason." Yes, it's like in the movies when the guy catches his wife in bed with another: "I can explain everything." Everyone says that.

I've listened to 2 songs in my life by 'stiqua, but there's one thing I want to say: damn, why do they all have covers like that?
Aerosmith Nine lives
Voto:
Well, to tell the truth, I've never really followed them too closely, but in the past they had made some nice stuff, though I'm referring to the '70s; if this "Nine Lives" is from '97, I don't think it'll grab me much.

"slightly rough sound due to a V i n t a g e production"... Oh really? Damn, that’s the reason for the avalanche of demos from Peruvian and Ecuadorian bands where you can’t tell if it’s the guitarist playing or if they’ve just started up the threshing machine, it’s VINTAGE. And I thought they were just recorded like a damn dog.

Review, as usual, impeccable and intriguing. I will listen to it with pleasure; if I liked their early work and "Viva Emptiness" really fascinated me as an album, I’m sure this one, as you say, won’t be a waste. I’m curious about the "rock" among the De-Generi, a bit less about the dullness you diagnose... we’ll see.

I pretty much agree with DARKEVE. And with everyone who commented before him.

Anyway, since we're talking about "table bands" in this De-Paginetta, I wouldn't want you to forget the FUNDAMENTAL: Ingrandisci questa immagine

Well... I understand perfectly well that this is THE album by the Sex Pistols, and that it's judged either a masterpiece or complete crap in 90% of cases, because it’s an epoch-making album. I like it, even though it’s a little record that has aged more than the years that have actually passed since its release, and that if listened to for the first time today says little or nothing. I like it, but there was a lot of other stuff out there, Stiff Little Fingers, Adicts, DISCHARGE, Clash, Germs, Sham69, Angelic Upstarts, Cockney Rejects, just to name a few and stay in England. The argument I understand less is that "oh, but they’re a manufactured band"... I mean, excluding the thousands of bullshit (from the Spice Girls to various boy bands, including the album of some top model or current athlete, the 883, Justin Bieber, etc.) that I don't even consider part of 'Music' (not even shitty music), there are plenty of bands that are more or less manufactured; they mentioned the Stones and Deep Purple, but let’s throw in a disaster of black metal groups (sponsored by cosmetics companies?), the GansisRosis, rock bands that last for 2 singles or maybe 1 made for a commercial (do you remember Stiltskin?), prog bands where the members are chosen by the manager via the internet, bands that revolve around a famous guitarist already in vogue, loads of emo idiots who spend 30 minutes posing for posters for every minute of rehearsal, and so on with the digging. So, the Sex Pistols who came to tell us "we're a scam," in the end were just one of the scams that existed and will continue to exist.

EDITORZ: if you could avoid hitting De-Home-Paig with these recenZioni di SatanaCristo around dinner time, it would be better, because I'm getting really hungry and I'm at work until 9 PM.
