Bea recension. There was something about "Beyond The Valley Of Murderdolls" that I liked, so I'll give this a listen.

Not being extremely interested in the musical proposal and having read with passion and enthusiasm the last two comments, I don't think I will delve into the reading of this prosaic composition.

Second great proposal in De-casa-pagina. And then you throw the JESU at me, I really have to listen to this album.

Anyway, I give a 6 to the cover with Vittorio Gassman sitting in front of a Reverse Current Stratometer-Analyzer. In the background, 2 Sumerian barometers (courtesy of the Egyptian Museum of Montevideo).

Well, since you probably know for sure that you have many relatives who lived in the mountain villages during the war, you also know, as happens everywhere, that most of the boys butchered at the front were part of that segment of the population that, unless specially lobotomized, didn't matter at all. So decisions, beliefs, awareness or lack thereof are inconsequential. When "the guards" arrived, they took away whoever they caught; those who were in the woods or hidden stayed at home, that's all. There were no states, armies, politics, or military will. And I want to clarify that I am only talking about a small part of Italy, but it somewhat overlaps with that of Rigoni Stern.

@STEFANO90: do you know why that phrase isn’t a “colossal bullshit”? Because we’re talking about over 50 years ago, and in many places in Italy, especially the mountain villages, news arrived a month later and 'by hearsay'. You tell me it’s not true that no one wanted war, and I completely agree with you, many people did want it because they profited (or thought they could) from their businesses, others were convinced by political speeches, but as you moved further away from the core of political life and the big cities, awareness would diminish dramatically, not because they were clueless, but because for people living in a village tucked away in the Dolomites, traveling 10 km in winter was an almost impossible feat; just imagine how and when the news arrived. They were the first to suffer the immediate consequences of armed conflict.

"Since the group is certainly not metal"..."Genre: Progressive"... then a question spontaneously arises: what genre are these guys playing? Progressive what? Anyway, this review is a gem, stuff like "in the moments when it was time to hit harder, he did so with such grit that shards of wood were seen flying off the sticks as he struck" or "At this moment my two friends take the opportunity to run to the Merchandising and buy some gadgets" are literary moments that haven't been seen for a while here on Progressive-De-Baser.

I don’t know… but this review has truly left an indelible mark inside me in the sense of my own self. I mean, I've been trying not to think about it, but… the image of the crowd waving their cell phones, stirred by Mike PORTNOY sitting on the speakers with his phone in hand, is something that goes beyond my psychic mystical conception of zen.
