Genesis ... And Then There Were Three
Voto:
In my opinion, Burning Rope is the track where Rutherford shines the most on guitar after Hackett's departure. The album is quite nice, so a 3.5 is well deserved - Undertow and Many Too Many are also beautiful, and Down And Out and Snowbound are more than pleasant - on par with Duke.

Not fully convinced - after all, I enjoyed the film even though it's definitely inferior to the 1st and 3rd. It's a pity we couldn't see the formidable duo of Connery-Ford one more time!

Among the best reviews I've read (and there are quite a few on this site) - very interesting the discussion related to the sound of the drums (phenomenal). The 5 stars are well-deserved even if Start isn’t the best... it makes me think of individuals suffering from loneliness in American metropolises. From here, the best phase of my favorite artist begins. Well done!
Dire Straits On Every Street

I don't know much about Dire Straits, but I quite like Calling Elvis, On Every Street, and Heavy Fuel from this album - among the best is also the "western" Iron Hand, really beautiful. Exact rating 3.5.

Moonlight Shadow is simple but truly beautiful. The title track, on the other hand, is exceptional (especially the second half) with a stunning Simon Phillips on drums. Shadow On The Wall is not bad either.

All in all, it’s not that bad… Abacab and Dodo/Lurker are the peaks of this album, while Who Dunnit? is really awful. I don’t know what’s so unpleasant about Keep It Dark—it's true that it’s repetitive, but to find it ugly... Me and Sarah Jane and Another Record are nice too. No Reply at All, definitely not (I can't stand the horns from EW&F here). A better album could have come out.
Genesis Invisible Touch

Objectively, I really can't give more than 2/2.5 to this album, even though I quite like Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, Domino, and The Brazilian. I'll share my thoughts on the discussion (opened in another review) related to the so-called "Worst of Genesis": Anything She Does is definitely at Number 1.
