Fine Before You Came Ormai

I loved "Sfortuna" (and I also really like Cultivation of Ease); back then, I would have had sex with that album. This, on the other hand, reminds me of what Vasco Brondi did with his second album: a carbon copy of the previous one. So, the record is nice, but I feel like I need to reassess the previous one downward because replicating the same emotions makes me reflect on how genuine those originals were: sincere emotions can’t be copied, not in the same way, in my opinion. Anyway, I’ve heard that Verme (with the same voice as these guys, which many don’t like but I do) are about to release a new single, and I can’t wait.

Talent, a couple of no-gos: all it does is take a regular little tune, speed up the voice, and sprinkle it with digital farts here and there. This album is proof of that. Zero songwriting. This has nothing to do with dubstep: we must never get tired of pointing that out.

Loud but unconvincing album. I barely remember Born Free. The best remains Kala, in my opinion.

The only thing I don't like too much is that all the songs are sung by Tom DeLonge's croaky voice (but less than once) while Mark Hoppus just does the backing vocals.

Surprisingly, it's their best album: quite dignified. It could be a 3, but I've always liked them a lot. A mature album that continues the journey that has taken them from the silliness of their early albums to today's seriousness: a seriousness that was already glimpsed in a few tracks on "Enema of the State," then becoming more pronounced in "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket." In the self-titled album, the transition will be complete but not entirely successful in terms of quality. This one, on the other hand, is more enjoyable and also brings in "original" elements like keyboards.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh! Italian metalheads singing in Italian and not afraid to show their Italian identity on the cover. From what I've heard on YouTube, I'm not sure I'm that interested: too epic. Do you know Progenie Terrestre Pura?

Some time ago, I downloaded "Urban Hang Suite," which is considered one of the best R&B albums of the '90s. The thing about "Unica" was quite irrelevant for the sake of the review, not to mention that this allows great enlightened minds to say things like, "When I read that you were looking for Venditti's CD, I stopped reading and stopped hoping that this could interest me."

5 for this album, absolutely not. As interesting as you want, played like a god for heaven's sake, but by the fourth track being the same as the previous one, one starts to get a little fed up.
The Prodigy Live - World's On Fire
Voto:
The review is okay. But having seen The Prodigy live twice, it gave me a completely different impression. It made me remember exactly what their live shows are really like: a big mess where everyone is brawling, but in the end, the performance is inconsistent. It’s not a condemnation, just a statement of fact: every Prodigy live show seems more like an opportunity to get hurt for free while their tracks, sounding as if they come straight from the CD, play in the background. A sort of hyper-violent DJ set. It’s no coincidence that the band’s fans are called "Warriors." On stage, the drummer hits hard but you can’t hear it (the synthetic kick dominates), Liam Howlett messes around behind a computer, a long-haired guitarist pretends to play the guitar (to be honest, when I saw them, the sound was too perfect), and the real performance comes from Keith Flint and Maxim with their tireless "toasting." The latter are always reciting their silly little phrases, snippets of lyrics, or chants ("invaday-vaday-vadayers") and organizing wall of death. The show is mainly all about this: the real action is down in front of the stage, where the floor becomes a true battleground. By all means, it’s an experience worth having if you’re not afraid of a few bruises. But a live album without the "physical" part of the fun doesn’t make sense. I prefer to listen to studio albums which are the same but without the silly cheers and screams.
