I love Toto a lot; they are extraordinary as musicians (as already mentioned by superboia). I would have liked to see them have a thirty-year career like Luke and the others. However, I must admit that in terms of the average value of a single album, this surpasses the vast majority of Toto's albums.

I don't understand the insistence on the review, which is really excellent (in the average of Starblazer, by the way). When it comes to the album, I can't say much, as I fall into the category of those who consider it trash without ever having listened to it, aside from the single that I remember with disgust. Yet I quite enjoy Elton from the 70s and - at times - the 80s; it's just that the disco phase was a choice I couldn’t digest at the time. However, the album preceding A Single Man was excellent, and from the subsequent 21 at 33, he reconnected with the acclaimed duo John-Taupin and won back the audience. The fact that the album features Steve "Phenomenon" L. makes me eager to listen.

@deep-frenk, from your nickname, I’d say we think alike. At this stage, I lean towards MK3, but I’m open to any variation.
@zarathustra, the Who are amazing, but I never considered them rivals of Zeppelin due to their different type of proposal. Still, with Zeppelin and DP, they form the trio of unique non-prog bands that I’ve been able to listen to for the past couple of years.

rather mediocre review, album almost a 4.8. a very commercial little band but very, very convincing in every aspect. you could also mention, in this "almost" track by track, the biggest hit of the album, when I see you smile. anyway, nice proposal, well done.

It's a shame that there was another one ten days ago: it's true that this album is physical graffiti and so this is actually the first review and – I hope – the last. Anyway, it's right not to write SUPERFLUOUS words. Fake or not fake, it’s pretty terrible. The album oscillates between 4 and 5 but remains one of the worst of the career of the second best hard rock band in history.

A masterpiece, perhaps not, but a truly great album, even superior to Novo Mesto, which I already considered a gem. You're absolutely right when you say that his artistic trajectory has grown inversely proportional to his success. After all, we wouldn’t be in Italy…

focused review, a bit too much of a monograph on the band but not too boring. an epoch-making album in its own way, it sold tons of copies and placed something like six singles in the US top 10. a classy hard-AOR, a band that might not be in the history of music but, quietly, has made a bit of history.

Congratulations on the review and for wanting to mention a group that truly deserved better fortunes. I got to know them around '80 from a radio broadcast of "Don't be late," an extraordinary track. I only have a couple of CDs from the '80s and cassettes of what I consider their best records, starting from "Images at Twilight" onward.
One clarification: you can't compare Styx to Saga as has happened. The former sold millions of copies of at least six albums in the USA, while in Europe much less, but they were still far more well-known than Sadler and company. I love both groups, but let's give DeYoung & Co. what they deserve.

@deep-frenk: I don't know if you're trying to mess with me or if the question is serious (now it turns out you're Christian Meyer from Elio e le Storie Tese). Honestly, I'm not a bacterial technician, but if I had to name a better drummer off the top of my head, I'd think of Bill Bruford, Phil Collins, Jeff Porcaro, John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, Neil Peart, Simon Phillips, and a few others. And I'd keep going for a while, but it's just an opinion from a casual listener.
