Listen to me! Since I felt the loneliness of my being, I seem to be sinking, every day more and more, into a dark underground, of which I cannot find the limits, of which I do not know the end, and which perhaps has no way out! I walk through it alone, with no one around me, with no living being sharing this dark, gloomy path with me. This underground is life.
We are all in a desert. No one understands anyone.

From what I understand (probably nothing), DeBaser was conceived or at least should be a “fun place” for those who frequent it: an apolitical and libertarian realm where opinions, ideas, and personal opinions can converge, cross, and, why not, share, starting from the pretext of listening to an album, reading a book, viewing a TV show or a cinematic work.
From what I understand (definitely nothing), the purpose of all this chaotic jumble should be, beyond “diversion,” to spark reflections among people, perhaps supporting everything with a transversal and salvific irony, a structural sarcasm that can become sharp and grotesque but that should always aim to understand who we are, what we have become, how we are transforming. Yet, it is daily news to encounter, among the twenty thousand-plus DeBaser pages, nerves on edge, heated clashes if not verbal skirmishes to the last blood, insults and curses of every kind for issues often really insignificant that offend more the intelligence of the writer than that of the unfortunate reader: someone will argue that DeBaser is nothing more than a snapshot, more or less transversal, of the confusing, ambiguous Italian society, and the fights we witness, more stunned, represent its most pronounced facial features: it can be.
From what I understand (absolutely nothing), DeBaser would like to be something else entirely: it’s certainly not “RAISE YOUR VOICE” in here, shouting one’s indisputable and absolute “truths,” sometimes insulting others heavily, that changes things “out there”: Are you nauseated by what surrounds you, feeling the urgent need to change the world? Well: face the reality around you and do something concrete, channeling all the immense energy you possess into it.
In a reconfigured world, drop by again though..
