Cheap Trick In Color
Voto:
Well-written review, perhaps, but I have a feeling you’ve misunderstood by listening to the wrong album. Is it possible to give 5 stars to Cheap Trick? They’re decent, but come on. An album to bring to a desert island? Maybe for a deaf person. And at least let's not have a photo of Rick Nielsen. One clarification: who exactly would Boston be merely derivative of? Anyway, better Cheap Trick than a punch in the gutter.

thank you all, beautiful and ugly. I was hoping to get a nod from the focus-master green m., but it is what it is. by now it has disappeared from the home page and whoever is seen, is seen. focused greetings. thanks especially to the doctor. but why watch out for punctuation?

in agreement almost in full. I'm not one of those who trash Collins & Co. without having listened to them. I've faithfully bought all the albums up to this one, I've listened to them a lot, and I've come to the conclusion that, yes, there’s quite a bit of crap. On this album, however, at least four or five noteworthy tracks, perhaps the work that is closest to this is indeed Duke. I'm not thrilled with "Dreaming While You Sleep," but overall I agree. Review score of 4.5; for me, the album is worth almost 3.4.

I quote the last comment from bjork68. As for the album (which I have, unlike Passion which I don’t know why I never bought), it’s very beautiful. And above all, it reminds me of a movie that for at least 10 years was my absolute favorite. Reading the description of the final scene (even though I also don’t agree with fully describing the storylines of films) gave me crazy chills. Great Alan Parker, too bad that after Commitments he’s practically been dead, artistically speaking. PETER IS GOD.

what nostalgia. the '80s are long gone. I had even bought Nick Heyward's solo album, which wasn't bad at all, by the way. among the bands of that era, definitely one of the best.

The passion is all there, the idolization for the wonderful Peter is absolutely understandable, but the four "instrumentalists" deserved a bit more. You’re great, even if sometimes you tend to exaggerate with colorful imagery that’s (at least for the distracted observer) a bit empty. And I can't stand the numerous typos present in the text. As for the rest, what can I say? This album, although on a purely musical level there are others more suited to my tired ears (Foxtrot, Selling England, maybe even Atott), is in my opinion THE MASTERPIECE.

No, fuck, I didn't want to vote 3 and 3. I ask the moderators to delete this horrible rating.

by the way: I’m a poor idiot, but I had to read a review on debaser to find out that in the background of the water drops there’s a blurred face of Peter. And to think that I’ve poured rivers of ink on this record and for almost a year it represented my only listen. Well, there’s always something to learn. Thanks, bis.

an almost touching review for the sympathy (in the sense of syn pathein) that shines through towards Peter Gabriel. I'm only surprised by the 4, because reading the comments on the individual tracks, I would have expected the maximum score. After all, the only truly light piece on this album is "Barry Williams Show," which in the context fits perfectly, with that lyrics and that video by the great Sean, who in my opinion is a worthy successor to the gems of the '80s. One doubt lingers in my mind. I, who own all the studio albums, "Plays Live," DVDs, and have seen him live three times, considering him the embodiment of the singer-songwriter-frontman, why have I never bought "Passion"? I see that many regard it as a masterpiece. Should I remedy this? Thanks Mariaelena, anyway.
