I’m listening to it again right now, it’s really a shame that no one noticed this review, the album deserves attention and not just a little, even Ondarock noticed it :-)

A carefree-style Memento, I like it! I repeat, you are a master at adapting your style to the album you're describing. Today I have the button stuck on 5...

Basically, you stated a Theorem and proved it, not bad! Of course, I'm not familiar with the record, it really seems I need to catch up...

Mmm, in the end we are writhing in the usual worn-out discussion about this blessed/cursed "grunge." It seems to me that the Seattle bands are the quintessential ones that provoke an attitude of love or hate, which often (and thankfully) has little to do with objectivity. Personally, I've listened to mind-blowing records from all sorts of genres, but none, even though they might be musically more significant and enjoyable to me, have ever managed to convey the emotions that some "grunge" records manage to deliver. It's clear, as the captain says, that the whole Seattle sound (or all the Seattle sounds) is derivative and essentially not original; the various bands have operated (in different ways) a fusion of the most disparate influences (from garage to punk, from metal to hard rock, to certain singer-songwriter styles, etc.), managing, in my opinion, to create something personal and, more importantly, that served as a vehicle to "convey" their anger, their frustration, their sense of helplessness, etc. In this sense, "grunge" perfectly achieved its purpose, leaving us with beautiful and moving testimonies. It's clear that this perspective is highly personal.

Buh, it's what I like the least (I admit I haven't listened to it in ages), but I've always enjoyed this Yield. De stragustibus!

Basically, I share your thoughts; I'm attached to it too for various reasons, one of which is the fact that "Ten" is the first rock album I ever listened to.

Hey, do you happen to have "Binaural" too? Not that I really like it much, but just to complete the original discography...
