...and this above is another one of those comments that would make a deceased person (that is, FZ) turn in their grave.

Poletti, why are you working so hard? I really liked Big Wednesday when I saw it as a kid, but I’m not scandalized if someone gives it a 2, just as I’m not outraged when you give a 1 to the highly debatable films you mentioned. As a careful consumer of cinema, and thinking (wrongly?) the same about you, I am, however, scandalized when you talk about minor things, saying that Cape Fear is a naive and useless film, or when you ask, "What does Romero have to do with Carpenter's District 13?" Or when you cite as a great technical choice the 1500 shots of Othello, when Welles was actually forced to do that because he never had the full crew or the money to shoot longer scenes.

the same feelings of mopaga I experienced as a kid when they aired "Peeping Tom - The Eye That Kills" on TV. There were no cannibals or tough policewomen and not even big actors, just a young photographer terrified by his father when he was little, who took pleasure in capturing the agonies of his models while he pierced them with the camera tripod. Since then, other films of the "genre" have barely made an impression on me...unfortunately.

Shit, just introduce him to a girl..........or do you want to have this on your conscience?

For "wound up," the Ramones should ask Black Flag for the copyright... excluding Ginn’s solo, obviously... Ah, here’s another review that would make a deceased person (in this case, JL Pierce) turn in their grave.

truly great film but it's aged poorly, it never moved me, the only surf film that managed to do that was "Il Silenzio sul mare" by Kitano

never like the great "Locust Abortion Technician" of the great Asshole Surfers

I guess if Poletti had REALLY seen District 13, he wouldn't comment "what does Romero have to do with it"......

Carpenter's best western is Assault on Precinct 13, it's a genuine assault on the modern-day fort with motorized gangs of delinquents in place of the Indians.
review too descriptive.

...clearly Earle has nothing to do with either hard rock or southern rock.........
