@holdsworth, if you want to give a more substantial hand to the Camorra, come and throw yourself into the garbage of Naples. And don't forget to put the record in your pocket.

@oleeinar it's not so much the lack of guitar that bothers me; take, for example, Quatermass, whom you mentioned, and how they solve it with an "aggressive" use of keyboards and vocals. However, it's the approach of Aardvark that reminds me quite a bit of the early Procol Harum, and it seems somewhat outdated without necessarily wanting to assign a negative connotation to that term. Still, a nice electric guitar solo instead of the Hammond one would certainly have benefited this beautiful album.

I'm happy to see so many young people who call themselves anarchists; I just hope you don't confuse this word with nihilism, which is the term more suited to today's generations. I hope you've delved into the works of Mr. Proudhon and Bakunin, as I did in my youth.

I join the cheering crowd of oleeinar, but for me this album doesn’t quite hit five stars, mastro tollani. The lack of guitar is felt in this type of music, and the Hammond just isn’t enough. Nevertheless, in those years it was all a descent from the Crazy World of Arthur Brown and the Atomic Rooster of the same Vincent Crane. Musicians swapped around in various hard blues groups, like Steve Milliner, who before Aadvark was the pianist in the great blues band Black Cat Bones, from which Paul Kossoff would emerge to join Free and Rob Price would found the great Foghat, as well as the Brooks brothers who would bring the hard combo Leaf Hound to life.

Few people know that before the GFR, Schacher was the bassist for Question Mark & the Mysterians, a great garage band that had a hit with "96 Tears."

Five for the movie seems absolutely exaggerated to me... three is the right rating, considering that for me three means sufficiency.

Fuck Corman!!! The set design that Defender talks about and the actors are the ones (Karloff-Nicholson) who were "left over" for the director after shooting the previous film (The Raven - I maghi del terrore): the production allowed for another three days, and Corman didn't waste them by filming The Terror!!! In a flash, they wrote everything, slapped on some meters of previously shot marine footage by Monte Hellman... and there you have this film shot in just three days. Great Corman.
