U2 ZooTV Live From Sydney
Voto:
Beautiful DVD and splendid show. Not U2 at their peak (for that, you have the period from 1987 to 1989), but certainly captured at a moment of their greatest creativity. A beautiful concert that represents well all that ZooTV was: an event, a multimedia spectacle (conceived by that genius mind of Eno) that rightly drew in the masses (fans and non-fans alike!). A balanced and tested setlist showcases a great performance from our band (read as: when Bono still had his voice) and many memorable moments, such as the opening with Zoo Station, the funky groove of Mysterious Ways, here enhanced by a great solo from Edge and a tight rhythm, the moving One, the exhilarating Until The End Of The World, and the splendid Stay in a semi-acoustic version, passing through the classics (With Or Without You, New Year's Day, Bullet The Blue Sky, Pride, Running To Stand Still) from the preceding decade. Not to forget that gem, Love Is Blindness, in its live version, featuring a breathtaking solo from Edge that fades into Can't Help Falling In Love, Bono's tribute to Elvis. Special mention goes to "Where the Streets Have No Name": say what you will, but this song live is a marvel.

I am a great fan of U2 and I must say that Boy, although I don’t listen to it very often, surprises me every time and is, among the top 3 albums of the band (and thus from their early phase), the one that fascinates me the most. The review is well-crafted with the right and relevant details. The boy on the cover is Peter Rowen, Guggi's brother, a friend of Bono. A great debut; the 80s were also the years of U2. It’s a real shame that now they’re tiredly dragging themselves toward retirement: the last truly enjoyable album is Pop from 1997, which I have always appreciated a lot, like almost all its predecessors. In my opinion, U2 could still give us one last great effort of high quality, but, as things stand now, I don’t see them convinced at all and, above all, I see them distracted by other things.

They should make Gigi D'Agostino swallow a bat, not Ozzy. The ruin.

I have no words to describe such horror. I have no words, but I certainly have the numbers: 1 and 1.

Thank you for the comments, and I apologize for the battyitutra errors; I will try to be more careful next time.

Look, I don't listen to classical music either, but jazz. However, I still enjoyed the work, in fact, perhaps because I don’t know Bach's music very well (just a few listens here and there), the CD pleasantly impressed me.
