Among the various phobias I have—acrophobia, demophobia, erythrophobia, afephobia, mortedimerdafobia (quote), etc.—I believe I am also affected by teletubbiesphobia. They terrify me.

It's a good album, with some remarkable Pop "highs," which, unfortunately, is being overlooked as junk because of the persona (and this could open a lengthy discussion on the weight of clichés). For the rest, fake is fake (in every sense: physical, artistic, etc.), but they are trivialities.

I reached "I’m a rocker hiding a tacky soul" and I stopped. 5 flat. As for the subject of the review, I honestly pass.

The last paragraph would deserve a 5, but that expression "la mia donna" that I just can't stand takes away points: it sounds too much like ghetto. One less point.

In the boxes of shopping centers, you always find plenty of these knockoffs: I've always wondered if anyone actually buys them (theoretically, if they exist, there should be demand...).

Right disillusionment but in my opinion (and I repeat IN MY OPINION ;-D) you start from a concept (which you all have) that is wrong, namely that he made an album to reinvent his career: as I already mentioned in my review, if one were to truly understand the character, it would be clear that he did it merely as a divertissement in homage to the good old days when as a young lad he listened to Wishbone Ash, Thin Lizzy, etc. Then, it’s obvious that even an album made for "messing around" can be either bad or good (and it depends on personal taste: I don't dislike it even though, of course, I prefer him playing bass with Maiden), but I wouldn’t philosophize too much on that. Take care, Sanguinaria Francesca.

As mentioned in another review, this record shouldn't be rated because it amounts to nothing. Probably, none of those who "played" it realized what they were doing, and if they had recorded it a day or two later, they would have come up with something entirely different. A great joke, in short, a few years before that (well more methodical than the birth of Punk) and with the excuse that it was unconscious, and in this case, the technical notion was indeed present (perhaps that's why it ended up being taken seriously). Then the critics did the rest (and it has nothing to do with Scaruffi, who has only corrupted the last Italian generation; we are talking about names that are far more illustrious and "historic"), just as it has happened in other artistic fields. That said, whether it influenced "many" other genres or not is of little importance since it always depends on what kinds of genres we are talking about (and in this specific case, it seems there is a lot of confusion regarding this...). One last note: how I miss Happypippo, who at least when he praised this record, did so with a sense of purpose.

I thank everyone for their contributions. I'm writing from a cellphone, so I find it difficult to reply to each one. The reviews from the foreign press, except for one, are all positive. When I get back, I'll give you the links. However, since there are many negative ones, post the links and I'll tell you what I think, if you're interested. Bye.

It's one of the reasons why every now and then I'm afraid to leave my body, but I like this book (and also "Sense and Sensibility" and "Emma"). The review has its own merit despite the criticism.
