No. My sentence was deliberately paradoxical and concise (so I understand you, hiro, if you misunderstood ;P). Typically, those who produce music like this don't care at all about the approval they might receive; and this attitude is already commendable to me (is it called snobbery? maybe, who knows). So the "compliment" is only directed at the "inaudible"; the 5 is instead an overall rating for the album, which I own and therefore think I can fully evaluate. Augh.

Not bad last night at Alcatraz... I didn’t know the Afghan Whigs and I hadn’t heard the Twilight Singers' album, but they’re very good. Beautiful ballads; you can tell they’re American, evident in Dulli’s melodic choices, the bass lines, and how they put the songs together. Nothing groundbreaking, as far as I’m concerned, but they’re good. Mago, were you there too??? Too bad, if I had known earlier...

Anyway, I would say it's right to give credit to Scott because he acknowledged that he was wrong in comparing the two artists; admitting one's mistakes (if we can talk about this case...) is not easy, many prefer to create ad hoc justifications or even blindly reject any opposing arguments.
