Eze, how is it that you always get yourself into trouble, huh? :) The review is very well written, although I wouldn't take a single word of it as my own :-P Regards

It's true, class isn't water; unfortunately, I've never seen it live, but someone who goes from Reggatta De Blanc to Saint Agnes And The Burning Train while always maintaining a certain wise quality definitely deserves it. I was really little when "Nothing Like The Sun" came out; I believe it was the first record (ahem, tape) that I wore out to the last nuance... that one, "Money For Nothing," and "Green" :) Great review.

Allow me a moment of venting: the lyrics of "Come Stai?" (unfortunately, whether we like it or not, we heard it hundreds of times) are really, really terrible, the most vile demagoguery, the most petty populism. Truly, few lyrics disgust me as much as that one :-o Best regards

Perez, your comment makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, with *fans*, it's difficult to engage in such reasoning (see also the reviews of U2 and Bon Jovi), often because they have an in-depth knowledge of their idol and almost nothing about the rest of the music scene. There’s nothing to be done in these cases. Only the more open-minded may accept the suggestion to - I don’t know - try listening to something similar but of higher quality, as the great Antimo did by (unheard) recommending Rocket From The Crypt to Bon Jovi fans. The only thing is, in Vasco's case, I can’t find anything suitable... should I risk suggesting the latest Low album (more energetic than their usual standard)? Mmm

In principle, I agree with Socrates; the taste for artistic production should remain separate from that for the person. However, I understand kosmogabri... especially since I think of the case of Noir Desir (I can’t even remember his name). I'm not saying, of course, that being a Scientologist is comparable to being a murderous jerk; far from it. I'm just saying that *there are* cases where the person and the artist cannot be considered separately. (That said, in Beck's case it doesn’t change anything for me, even though my opinion on Scientology definitely aligns with what many of you seem to feel.) Best regards.
