THE REVIEW

The Drone.
Slow down slow down slow down, distort distort distort, amplify amplify amplify... the Drone.

Practically a symphony orchestra, Bass, Guitar, Psychopharmaceuticals, LSD, MDMA, Psilocybin, Mescaline. Amphetamine? No no, amphetamine not even a shadow.

Slow down slow down slow down, distort distort distort, amplify amplify amplify... the Drone. Hey, my desk is vibrating, my mouse pointer is dancing, is it an earthquake in slow motion? But no, it’s the Drone. Oh, but no drums huh? Ah, no no, that would be too elaborate, it would be too fast, it would be not distorted enough, it would be too little Drone.

Months later, I still have to figure out if it's an album or a joke.
I think it's a joke, then I look at their faces and say "no no, these guys are for real". I think it's an album, then I look at their faces and say "no no, these guys have no idea what an album is."
Masterpiece? Joke? Well, for sure it's very, very, really very much Drone. Damn, it’s Drone.

Teeth Of Lions, Rule The Divine. Some strike blows, they torture you. Slow down slow down slow down, distort distort distort, amplify amplify amplify... the Drone. De-Generes?... mmmhhh... De-Drone? No THE Drone.

The thing that makes me laugh is that it was released under Sub-Pop. Ha Ha... very very Sup-Pop. Almost like Giovanni Rana's sunflower seeds, or almost like the Drone from Sub-Pop.

Summary by Bot

Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version is a deeply immersive drone album characterized by extreme slow tempos, heavy distortion, and amplified sound. The reviewer reflects on its ambiguity—whether it's a serious album or a joke—while ultimately appreciating its dedication to the drone genre. Released by Sub Pop, the album challenges traditional notions of music with no drums and an intensely hypnotic atmosphere. It remains a standout within experimental and drone music circles.
