Beautiful term, the "Burtonian" Stef Kamil Carlens! I think I understand what you're referring to: I also saw that extra on the DVD of "Any Way The Wind Blows" (feature film by Tom Barman) where an SKC from a few years ago talks about Tom and while saying (Flemish) "pop struktuur," he gestures with those skinny, black-clad arms... :) Very nice record, the "spatial" component shouldn't be underestimated, it echoes a bit the hint made in Dream Sequence #1, the last track of "The Ideal Crash."

Thank you all. Samuel: I agree with you, Sun Ra above all (even though Bad Timing...), that 'spatial' idea of putting Sun Ra himself on loop saying "It's just like outer space, where I came from". Odradek: the cover (which is very divisive: you either hate it or love it; I don’t like it) is a drawing from the "Storm" series, by Don Lawrence, an English cartoonist (the one behind Marvelman); I couldn’t tell you the year...

Funny, usually the people who end up on covers are the last to defend them. But since, in either case, ending up on a cover has nothing to do with the quality of the music, I’ll say that, like Lukin, I think the opposite of Giov. Devendra et al have pretty much brought back the same formula from 50-60 years ago: guitar and voice. Sometimes with talent - for goodness' sake, often less. The formula of CocoRosie, on the other hand, is undoubtedly original: never heard anyone combine folk + opera + toys + gospel + beats. Maybe I’m wrong, huh, but if they’re not ahead of the curve... And then don’t come to tell me they’re unpleasant because that means you’ve never talked to them... or with Devendra!!! I’ll end with a W, because a hot babe never hurts, let’s go.

Sorry to interrupt the idyll :D The review is too funny and I’ll give it an award. However, I like the album. For now, less than the previous one. But at the time of the previous one, I was in love :o

No, I went to the Aeolian Islands and tried to jump into the Stromboli crater to then come out around there. But they held me back.

Welcome, Pam79! You’re right, the site is nice, but above all, “you have a 50% chance of dying” if you keep visiting it. Trust me. For example, I’ll die tomorrow. It’s just that if you don’t sign up, everyone will read you all griogiolin_ and it makes no sense, and I will die sad :)
