Assialized ajeje. Speaking of Bardo Pond, I only tried them recently, with my mouth watering due to great references I read, but I didn’t find much. Maybe I was distracted.

Alright, it was just a provocation, Mario, don’t take it personally. The fact is that these ideas (a bit superficial, in my opinion) seem to be widespread. The problem is that people don’t distinguish between the Catholicized masses and Catholicism, which is something entirely different; there’s a tendency to reject the message because one rejects the messenger or judges those who receive it, and I think that’s wrong.

...and here’s also why ordinary people think "an interest in spiritual matters, if it’s truly alive, is just fanaticism" // Enea, I would gladly offer you a donation if Santarelli were known instead of just being quoted :)

In fact, I was talking about reality shows in general, not just the Italian ones :) Like that Dutch one about the heroin addict... Anyway, it's interesting what you said about Protestantism/Catholicism. I increasingly feel that there is a tendency to distort the concept of conscience, sacrifice, morality, probably due to poor "marketing" from generations of inept priests (unfortunately). That's why there are regrets, and that's why ordinary people think, "the Catholic is satisfied with himself when he follows the order."

Nice debate, but it seems a bit pointless to me. We try to reason about life starting from reality shows... Logic Probe says things I agree with but spices it up with an unsettling "In our reality, can you know who will win? Try asking yourself!": I don't try to ask myself that, it makes no sense (and Logic knows it). Let's analyze reality shows as a cultural phenomenon, as a television spectacle, as a mirror of the moral decay of our times if we want; but for heaven's sake, let’s not use the frameworks of reality shows to reason about life. I'm also baffled by Mario's comment about consciousness being "always on alert," I don't understand how it relates and above all, I don't agree: the distinction between impulse and consciousness is fine (we are human beings, intelligence, will... not animals), but the conclusion seems delirious to me, you've skipped about eighty logical steps taking them for granted. Best regards.
