The review has a bit of a "beat" style..the album is very interesting
Zucchero Spirito DiVino
Voto:
It's undoubtedly a good album, played very well, but here we have a Zucchero who has started to repeat himself a bit too much. In my opinion, it's the best of his albums from the 90s and recent years, but it still falls a step below the various "Rispetto," "Blues," etc. In fact, it has a very convincing start, but then it fizzles out over time, even if "Senza rimorso" is quite good.

In my opinion, many songs from this album still remain quite representative of that period. For example, "Stupid Girl" is often heard on the radio and at alternative nights. The fact that the band did not reaffirm itself and shifted towards a more poppy and less intriguing sound has diminished the value of this album, which has become somewhat of an isolated case. If the subsequent albums had lived up to expectations, today we would probably be talking about a debut work of great value; instead, "Garbage" remains a good album without much history. Perhaps the issue is that Vig has more of a producer's heart than that of a musician.

mmmm... I had already tagged them as a punk band for teenagers to steer clear of, but with this review you force me to reconsider that judgment. We'll see, for now you get a well-deserved five for your passionate and intriguing review.

I had lost track of them... when I listened to Legacy I was impressed, I wanted the album but I couldn't find it and in the end, oblivion won. But thanks to this review, I'll go and retrieve them... well done!
Leone Di Lernia Disco Hauz
Voto:
Somehow Leone was an anarchist, an iconoclast... especially in how he ridiculed tracks that today no one remembers, but back then they really sold a lot and dominated radio and television. Then there's the heart, which always plays its role: I also remember hearing "Cumbà GIuann" for the first time from some car radio, if I remember correctly at a local festival, maybe in Mola di Bari... and I've said it all. Certainly, his humor is coarse and he can't even be defined as a musician. But neither were the Sex Pistols... Jokes aside, the review is very enjoyable, and the ironic pairing of serious music and trash is successful. And then there's a sacred truth that vellutogrigio points out: in the '90s and '80s there weren't many immune defenses against the commercial music imposed by radio and TV. Consequently, it seems pointless to act all snobbish when talking about those years because everyone made do as best they could... For example, I discovered the existence of bands like Slint or My Bloody Valentine only in recent years, and I certainly never settled for listening to commercial music.

frankly avoidable review...you could have at least mentioned that they are Finnish, for example. Anyway, I got to hear the album back in the day, and besides "Freestyler," which is indeed a fairly original track (effectively combines hip-hop and drum'n'bass), the rest, if I remember correctly, is quite kitschy. After all, it's no coincidence that after that song no one paid attention to them anymore.

On the album, I don't know what to say since I'm not familiar with it at all (I've heard a bit on the radio) and, sticking to the usual generational discourse, it’s quite a bit before my age of reason. However, the review conveys all the enthusiasm with which this album has been absorbed by primiballi, as well as their expertise in the "singer-songwriter" field. Congratulations!
Giorgio Gaber Raccolta Anni '60
Voto:
In my opinion, Gaber is the most brilliant singer-songwriter we have had here in Italy... the clinical eye with which he delved into the various evils of living in our daily life, always capturing both the most ironic and the most bitter side, has always deeply impressed me. In the '60s, he was ahead of everyone, but he never lost clarity in his storytelling, and even his last albums are immense. It is essential never to forget him.
