The other day I was in the car and, strangely enough, I was listening to the radio, waiting to hear the lineup of Catania, when at some point I stopped on a local station to wait for the news coming shortly. They played Negramaro, then Caparezza, and finally, they played a nice song I didn't know. The voice sounded like Le Vibrazioni but it was as if something was missing. Then it happened that yesterday, while I was idly watching TV, flipping between Mtv and All Music, I stopped when I found myself in front of 5 lads of an undefinable age (the singer looks like my neighbor who is 36 years old with 2 kids) trying to act young, and they were playing the song from the radio that I didn't know. The video was very well made, they play in the green of a forest, a very cute girl must be the singer's love interest who, on the contrary, is quite unattractive.
The song is not bad, the arrangement is quite well done, it almost seems like a song by Facchetti & Co., only the lyrics are a bit trivial but there is worse out there. Then the little hamster in my head starts spinning and I start to think..."How the hell is it possible that now anyone who can play 4 chords in a row, even badly, can sing?" Then it's normal that Tiziano Ferro and Laura Pausini make it big abroad, because they are the only ones who can't play 4 chords in a row but they have a decent voice... And to think that in Italy we have artists who make Music and yet no one values them just because they make music that goes far beyond the ears of the Average Italian... And I'm not referring to Finley because it's true that I like them but they have nothing of musicians...
