Eros Ramazzotti In ogni senso
Voto:
A 1 extra for putting "singer-songwriters" as a de-gendering label. Let's not joke: they have other names. At most "Italian Pop," but of the lowest level.

Beotamente is not a typo, but "bettitura" and "ha sa spaziare" are. I take this opportunity to reiterate my judgment on "artist" and review.

Reggae, rock, and jazz... and why not also blues and maybe classical, while we’re at it? A genius who knows how to move across every musical genre, or a vulgar buffoon who can’t even sing, invented by Sanremo and subsequently hyped by his record label for the benefit of the fools who mindlessly lap it up (which is not a typo)? I clearly lean towards the second hypothesis.
Django Reinhardt Djangology
Voto:
It was about time someone thought about it. The vote isn't for this recording, which unfortunately I don't know, but for the Django collections I have, which despite the mediocre recording quality, I never get tired of listening to. Review: 4.5 + half a point for the selection.

The fact that much of the album is openly antimilitarist helps my old heart of a conscientious objector overlook some musical shortcomings and a few somewhat monotonous songs.
Leonard Cohen Songs From A Room

Indeed, the lemur is right: "clear technical limits" is somewhat of an improper expression. Perhaps it would have been better to say "little importance given to technical means." As explained later, this music is so essential that it can withstand the almost complete absence of "special effects."
Pino Daniele Vai Mo'
Voto:
For those who only know the current miserable Pino, it’s hard to even imagine that he could create records like this one, as well as Nero a metà and Bella 'mbriana. Certainly, a nod to "Viento 'e terra," with its overwhelming rhythm, almost "fusion," and its virtuosic finale, which in my opinion makes it the best track on the album, wouldn’t have been poorly received.
Leonard Cohen Songs From A Room

It's very difficult to respond to the "well-traveled listener." Regarding "I'm your man" and "The future," I basically agree, even though I only know part of the songs; as for the two versions of "Suzanne," I still haven't been able to choose: they are both sublime, and I consider De André's translation a true miracle, in a language like Italian which, as is well known, is not very suitable for being set to music.
Johann Sebastian Bach Passione Secondo Matteo
Voto:
Try to bring a nice soprano female (if you like opera).
Neil Young & Crazy Horse Rust Never Sleeps

Disc and review are flawless. The first half of the album, the acoustic one, is absolutely perfect, but the other half is no joke either.
