Very beautiful, many artists I like too, '60s, '70s, singer-songwriters, Rhythm and Blues... even country.

Definitely tilted towards the 60s/70s, but it's a nice ranking; well done.

What can I say at the end: nice ranking, with at least half of the albums I own and love. Two things: very little Metal and you left out, unless I read my number ones wrong, PRIMUS; and in my humble opinion, having Black Sabbath only in the middle of the ranking is embarrassing. Other than that, well done for the effort shown. LET THE MUSIC FLOW...

These mega charts, look how much they make me sad; how is the album at no. 234 more beautiful than the one at no. 239? According to what criteria is no. 489 ahead of 490? And then, why is "Alla mia età" by Tiziano Ferro missing!? Quoting Richard Benson, I REALLY DON’T UNDERSTAND THE SENSOOOOOOOOOO!

A ranking of the 500 best albums of all time that includes extremely minor albums by many artists makes no sense. I can't tell if it's a fake or not, but including, for example, the entire discography of The Beatles, including compilations and duplicates (Past Masters 1, already unlikely to be included in a ranking, is listed twice), this ranking seems to be compiled mostly at random.

But aren't you tired of putting people in a database? I'm tired of reading it in the thirtieth position. But hey, nice work, can’t complain.

It seems to me copied from that of Rolling Stones ... very classic, perhaps too much for my tastes. Oh well.

More or less, it’s exactly like Rolling Stone’s. Except you included all the U2, bold in the total absence of Pink Floyd. Anyway, a sterile exercise that leaves much to be desired.

It makes a lot of sense, too much stuff. In this way, anyone can do it, just open a book and write down the titles.

You placed Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols at number 56 and I didn't see a trace of progressive. I'd stick matchsticks under your nails and set them on fire!

Too many albums, too many ideas in mind, this ranking doesn’t help form a clear picture of music quality. Including almost all the records of the Beatles, the Stones, etc... is detrimental. Where is the meritocracy?

    • paolofreddie
      11 jul 14
Ideas or rather not ideas xD sorry for the positive attribute I gave you: with a ranking like that, one doubts the reviewer’s mental sanity.
  • rolando303

  • paolofreddie
    11 jul 14
I mean... he puts on The Madcap Laughs by Barrett and completely disowns the early Pink Floyd: at least you could have included The Piper and A Saucerful. The rest of the ranking is ridiculous, it has no thread, it has no meaning, it doesn't deserve to exist. In a nutshell, IT SUCKS!!!

  • Teryolpul

Well Paolofreddie, there is a common thread: the blues/rock.
