Etta James

Etta James (born Jamesetta Hawkins; 1938–2012) was an American singer whose powerhouse voice bridged blues, soul, R&B, jazz, and gospel. Discovered by Johnny Otis and signed to Chess Records, she recorded enduring classics including At Last!, Tell Mama, and I’d Rather Go Blind. She earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received multiple Grammy honors.
