You and Grievous Angel

Gram Parsons

American singer-songwriter and pioneer of country rock. A member of the International Submarine Band, The Byrds (Sweetheart of the Rodeo), and the Flying Burrito Brothers, he coined the idea of “cosmic American music.” He released the solo albums GP (1973) and Grievous Angel (released 1974 posthumously), closely collaborating with Emmylou Harris. Died in 1973 at age 26.
