Anyway, great advice! I admit I’ve never listened to some of them, so I’ll gladly fill in those gaps. Others, however, I don't like. The Buzzcocks and Black Flag undoubtedly have great historical importance and above-average quality, yet their music doesn't resonate with me. The X are also really talented and "Los Angeles" is a fantastic album, but there’s something missing that prevents me from loving them. So, what do you think of Rancid?

I Fear..."The Record" is one hell of an album! Rancid...I'm not crazy about '90s Punk, but I really liked one of their albums, "Rancid 2000"...so badass!

Dead Boys, Avengers, Pagans, Dictators, Adverts, Stiff Little Fingers, Dickies, Big Boys.... just to stay in '77, seeing the Ramones only in 5th place hurts me.

Ascherdù I'd have put them first because they are good kids.

Gnagnera, it's true, the Stiff Little Fingers! I had completely forgotten about them... Anyway, keep sending me names, because there are some I don't know and others I've never really explored, and since I would like to get to know the genre even better, all of these are super useful suggestions.

Can you suggest something more about English punk, maybe mentioning some more niche names? Aside from the big names, I don't know much about it. There was a book, "Quando bruciammo l'Inghilterra," that I haven't been able to find anymore, and it featured a lot of names from the British underground of the '80s and '90s. So the matter has kind of been left hanging, and I'd like to remedy that.

English punk, I must say I prefer the American one, anyway: Adverts (Crossing the Red Sea is a must), Boys, Chelsea, Damned ("Damned, damned, damned", and the first singles), Adicts, Buzzcocks, Cockney Rejects (more on the oi side), Eaters, Sham 69, Discharge, UK Subs, Vibrators.

I know Buzzcocks, Damned, Vibrators, and Discharge (by the way, beautiful avatar). I can't wait to listen to the others. Thank you very much!

I've already shared my thoughts on the "X" in a previous comment. I'm not particularly fond of Gorilla Biscuits. Adolescents and Dead Kennedys are already on the list. I'll give UK Subs a listen. Thanks for the suggestion.

Even the Minutemen deserve quite a lot, but personally, while I appreciate them, I would never have placed Bad Religion so high, and I wouldn't have placed the Sex Pistols so high either; in fact, maybe I wouldn't even have included them.

Ziochen, you know that the second place in the rankings I listen to, I’ve never even heard them mentioned. Check out this list, putting them all is tough, but the DISCHARGE?

I know them, and they are historic, but I decided to remove from this ranking the bands that, while historic, I simply don’t prefer for reasons of taste. Not by chance have I taken out of the ranking great bands like Germs, Adolescents, Butthole Surfers, Crass. I recognize their value, but I don’t put on their records often, so I tried to create a ranking that is as honest as possible.

I don’t rule out including these groups, sooner or later, when and if they gain more space in my listening :)
