Grazhdanskaya Oborona was a Russian underground punk/experimental band led by Yegor Letov, formed in 1984. Known for raw, lo-fi recordings and politically charged lyrics, the project remained active until Letov's death in 2008.

Led by Yegor (Egor) Letov; formative act in Soviet/Russian underground punk. Frequently recorded lo-fi tapes in basements; themes include politics, religion and social critique. Letov died in 2008.
