Seeing a Nu Metal fan on Debaser is a very rare thing :D

Indeed, there has always been an inexplicable hatred for the Nu, and I’ve never really understood why—too many blinders, I believe... Fortunately, lately it seems that people are gradually reevaluating it. :)

Well, I wouldn't know, more than anything else, the few who appreciate it here don't go beyond Deftones or Snot...

You’re right (maximum maximum about the Incubus of S.C.I.E.N.C.E.), it’s just that if they hear a catchy melody they immediately dismiss the track. Many praise Deftones not because they’ve actually listened to them, but because almost everyone else does (even though I love Deftones, a lot of people do the same with other bands like Opeth, Death, etc... which I also adore). They hate and love based on hearsay, they dismiss some bands because of the success they’ve achieved and for their catchy melodies. At this point, we might as well all just listen to a jackhammer according to the logic of certain people.

Yes, and speaking of the Deftones, since they are considered the best, then "they have nothing to do with Nu Metal." It's a pity that many haven't had the desire to dig deeper, perhaps due to the prejudices you mentioned, a genre that, in addition to those 5-6 leading names (great bands by the way), had a rich undercurrent of excellent underrated and little-known groups in our area.

I completely agree and I hope that in a few years the situation will be turned around.

E-lux is truly a great album; it's a shame they stopped there...

I also like Chevelle (is it nu-metal?) and then, as I mentioned in another ranking, Deftones after the first two albums (which you mentioned) have nothing to do with nu metal anymore... not to take anything away from the genre, of course.
