Visto che la mia classifica "miglior artista jazz" è diventata troppo lunga, ho deciso di dividerla per decenni. Non è una vera e propria classifica ma più che altro una lista di dischi che mi piacciono. Naturalmente è in continua evoluzione. Si accettano consigli!

But what evolution, always the same records you play.

Actually, there are 4-5 that weren't in the other one, and I'm listening to many more from the '50s right now. Little by little, I'll add the ones I prefer.

Right now, I'm really into Adderley when it comes to '50s jazz; I'm listening to or re-listening to his records on repeat. Wow!

I'm really into the The Modern Jazz Quartet. Fontessa is a masterpiece! Django is beautiful too.

I don't know them, I think I'll grab the two titles you mentioned, just to get started.

You really threw out just 2-3! XD Thanks, I'll definitely listen. Of course, if you had clearly indicated artist-album, it would have made things easier.

You have to work hard if you’re really passionate :-) they are delicacies, you can't go wrong, and they happen every day, stay focused.

Candoli friends, Conrad Gozzo, Bobby Hackett, Harry Edison, Elmo Hope, Eddie Costa, Mal Waldron, Paul Gonsalves, Teddy Edwards, Lee Konitz, Shelly Manne, Buddy De Franco, George Handy, and let’s not forget Jimmy Giuffre's trio while we’re at it and Clark Terry bus stop. Don’t pay attention to musicians from this or that era; these are people who know how to put their hands to work at their best, how and where they want. PS. There are a ton missing... the Blue Note blends, the thoroughly searched West Coast, the great arrangers, more or less known, the orchestras... so many other great soloists and many other sparks born from the feeling between musicians! ... come on, a little calm!
